@ogabychita You are working three single crochet in the same stitch in three places on each round. This is how it gets the triangle shape.

  4. ogabychita says:

Wait, I don’t get it, how do you give it shape of triangle?

I just wanted to make sure i’m doing this right. From round 3 on, (on the written too) are you counting the stitch where you join one round of crochet one crochet? and are you add another 1sc in that same chain space? forsome reason its not adding up for me.

@BellaIntelectual Last summer someone used this pattern and then added a full length to the bottom to make a dress. She posted it on my FaceBook page.

@diamondsapostle Thank you for sharing your experience with crochet and water.

  19. diamondsapostle says:

Hey there fellow string peeps I’ve been crocheting and wearing crocheted swimwear for twenty years at my own risk and all my non waterproof yarns have held up just fine in both salt and chlorinated water for a minimum of 3 years wear…Go Figure. Seriously though kids I used all double mercerised yarns for durability and only suffered some fading with the really bright colours after much use.

    awsome!!!!!!!!!
    Great tutorial!!!!!!!!

@rosiered35 Its no different from swimming in anything else. You want to use materials that don’t stretch out of shape though. I lived in my cotton crocheted bikini when I was 17! Rinse when done, let air dry – you’re good to go!

  22. xena91388 says:

@rosiered35: There are surprisingly a lot of swimsuits that get ruined when wet. Some girls buy swimsuits just to look sexy while sunbathing, lounging around the beach, or modeling for pageants. I guess a crochet bikini would be for that or winter lingerie maybe? lol

  23. jholbroo8888 says:

try lining it with bathing suit material! thats what im planing to do!

  24. ninousheka says:

Do you have an idea of how I could make the matching bottom? Thanks

  25. tjw1963 says:

It is wear at your own risk as most clothing is.
